"Wish You Were Here Pink Floyd Free Mp3 Download Bee" is a song by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd released on the album "The Wall". It was written by bassist Roger Waters. The lyrics are sung from the perspective of an African child, who wishes for his family to be reunited after being torn apart during civil war. This song was not originally intended to be included on "The Wall", but it became part of the final product after being suggested by producer Bob Ezrin. He believed that this would counter Waters' anti-war sentiments in light of his use of South African music for "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2". According to guitarist David Gilmour, the song is "the most 'black' song on the album. [...] It was not specifically inspired by anybody or anything – it's a fantasy – but we always thought we might use a black singer, and we tried different people out and they all sounded terrible." Drummer Nick Mason also notes: "One of the reasons why I like 'Wish You Were Here' is because it was an easy track. I think that's because Roger wrote it about Syd [Barrett]. Basically, I mean that's what that song's about; he was lamenting what had happened to Syd. It was very easy to play on because it's almost like a waltz." This song also appears on the "A Collection of Great Dance Songs" compilation. Furthermore, it appears as downloadable content on the current-generation versions of "Rock Band 3".
